Design Narrative

This project explores a contemporary approach to apartment living through a dialogue between rich natural materials, sculptural forms and refined detailing. Set within Botanica Tower in Dubai Marina, the residence was designed to create a sense of continuity across its open living spaces while allowing individual rooms to develop their own atmosphere.

Natural stone becomes a defining element throughout the home, from the expressive Indian green marble used as a bedroom feature to the distinctive Calacatta Viola marble introduced within the bathrooms. These stronger material moments are balanced by warm timber cabinetry, understated finishes and carefully selected furnishings, creating contrast without disrupting the overall sense of cohesion.

The planning connects living, dining and kitchen areas into a fluid sequence, while more private spaces shift towards quieter textures and intimate details. Lighting is used to accentuate the variation in stone, wood and surface finishes, giving the apartment depth as the natural light changes throughout the day.

Dubai Marina

Dubai Marina is a high-rise waterfront community where residential towers sit directly around the marina and its surrounding promenade. Many homes benefit from expansive glazing, balconies and views across the water and skyline, making natural light and the connection to the surroundings an important part of the interior.

The neighbourhood brings together towers from different periods and developments, so homes can range from more traditional developer finishes to newer, contemporary residences. For homeowners, this creates very different starting points for an interior transformation.
